Course Description
This course aims to provide an overview of the autism spectrum, how it affects different individuals and families, and why it is a global concern. The course will cover the historical and current perspectives on autism, the diagnosis and assessment process, the biological and psychological explanations of autism, the evidence-based interventions and supports, and the challenges and opportunities across the lifespan. The course will also explore the diversity and inclusion of autistic people in various contexts, such as education, employment, health, and society.
